SAN DIEGO – The San Diego League will host two receptions for college coaches and scouts during the 2021 season, on June 21 and July 26, to celebrate college baseball and the summer season. Chief Operating Officer Connor Little made the announcement.
Both receptions will take place immediately after the conclusion of the 3:05 p.m. games at San Diego Christian High School both days. They will feature San Diego-themed food, including, but not limited to, Mexican fare and fish tacos. Families of the coaches and scouts are welcome to attend.
“We hope to see coaches and scouts from all over the country come to San Diego and celebrate the great game of college baseball with us, see their players play in the league, and scout the next wave of baseball stars – all while enjoying America’s Finest City,” Little said.
The June 21 reception, which takes place on the first full day of summer, falls one day after the conclusion of the U.S. Open Golf Championship at Torrey Pines. July 26 marks the start of the final week of the league’s regular season.
Invitations and further details will be sent out after the start of the calendar year.
