Press Release

The Ohio Valley League announces our 10th Season schedule, for a second time. We are enthusiastically looking forward to the Great Comeback Season of 2021. We missed our Hometown Baseball in 2020 but have been busy in this extended off Season to make “Your Hometown Baseball” better than ever. As previously announced, we have added a 10th team. The Full Count Rhythm will play their home games in Hendersonville, TN at Drake’s Creek Park. Additionally, the Henderson Flash will move across town to a new location. You will notice some other teams have made improvements as well.

With the addition of the Rhythm, the OVL will realign their Divisions for the 2021 season. The OVL will now play two five-team divisions: North and South. The Northern division will include Dubois County, Henderson, Madisonville, Muhlenberg County, and Owensboro. The Southern Division will include Franklin, Full Count, Fulton, Hopkinsville, and Paducah.

The 2021 Season will start on Friday, 4 June, at 5 locations in Kentucky, Indiana, and now Tennessee. The League will play 44 regular-season games. They will play the teams in their division 6 times (24 games) and the teams in the opposite division 4 times (20 games). The League will cap off the year with a postseason tournament involving all ten teams. We will follow the same format used previously with a 4 versus 5 play in-game in each division; followed by best 2 of 3 series in subsequent rounds. The Championship series of the tournament should end no later than Sunday, 8 August.

The countdown is ON. It is only 208 days until first pitch. Approximately 4992 hours, 299,520 minutes, or 17,971,200 seconds give or take a few.
